OER (Open Educational Resources) and ZTC (Zero Textbook Cost)

How does the library support OER and ZTC?

Answer

Open Educational Resources (OER) are educational materials (such as textbooks, problem sets, videos, and even entire courses) that are openly licensed and freely available to use, reuse, revise, and redistribute. In addition to finding and using OER, this guide covers ZTC (Zero Textbook Cost) and LTC (Low Textbook Cost) classes at GCC.

The Library has a collection of print OpenStax textbooks. If faculty would like to see these items, please direct them to the circulation desk where these textbook samples can be checked out for up to two weeks. If students would like to see the books, they may use them in the library like other Reserves.
