What are the specific settings for accessing the "Student GCC Wireless" (Wifi) on Chromebooks?

For the new Chromebooks that are loaned out to students, a message may pop up that asks for additional information before the student can access the student wifi. If this happens, make sure you have the following configured when prompted:

These settings can also be used for other Android-based mobile devices.

The following applies to Chromebooks. Laptops and iPads do not pose the same issues. 

When students are prompted for credentials to access the student wifi on the new Chromebooks, make sure they are set accordingly:

 

SSID: Student GCC Wireless (can't be changed)

Security: EAP (can't be changed)

EPA Method: PEAP

EAP Phase 2 authentication: Automatic

Server CA certificate: Default

Subject match: leave blank

Subject alternative name match: leave blank

Domain suffix match: glenalde.edu (not student.glendale.edu)

*Identity: This can be the first part of the student email or their student ID number

      - ex)  it would be jsmith1234 NOT jsmith1234@student.glendale.edu

Password: the password they use to log into Canvas

Anonymous Identity: leave blank

*For the Identity portion, the student may have to try both the email and ID number and see what works.
